Dear friends and colleagues,

The DNM Organisers are actively monitoring the current COVID-19 situation, including national and international guidelines. As you are also aware, this is an unprecedented global health crisis that requires special precautionary measures, ensuring — first and foremost — the well being of populations in general and participants of scientific events in particular. We have thus decided to postpone DNM 20 to a later date. Suitable replacement dates are being sought at the moment and will be published through these pages as soon as possible. Thank you for you patience.

On behalf of the DNM 20 Organising Committee,

Aniko Korosi
DNM 20 Chair

Welcome

Dear colleagues and friends,

On behalf of the Programme Committee, it is a great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the 2020 Dutch Neuroscience Meeting (DNM 20). The meeting provides a wonderful opportunity to meet and share your research with scientists and clinicians among various research disciplines in the field of neuroscience including neuroendocrinology, psychology, neurology and psychiatry. Our rich history can be tracked using the weblinks to the past editions of our meeting.

The DNM 20 meeting will be held on 11-12 June 2020. The scientific and social programme is designed to facilitate and stimulate the integration between scientists of different disciplines and career stages and institutes. We welcome a multidisciplinary scientific audience of researchers, clinicians, Ph.D. students, postdocs and trainees. The meeting starts and closes with prominent keynote speakers and has a diverse range of parallel seminar sessions over both days, arranged in such a way that most participants will find sessions of their interest throughout the programme. These sessions feature internationally renowned senior researchers alongside postdocs and Ph.D. students. This approach creates an ideal atmosphere to advance research and promote the interaction between established senior and junior scientists thereby fulfilling an important aim of the meeting.

We welcome and encourage all researchers to submit an abstract for one of the two poster sessions that are open to both established and young scientists, including Master students.

DNM 20 will be held at the Congress Centre 'de Werelt' in Lunteren. This venue provides spacious rooms for parallel sessions, a large hall for poster presentations, a beautiful lounge area to interact with colleagues, and comfortable rooms to stay overnight. Because of the anticipated high number of participants, we strongly recommend room sharing when possible. This will permit all of your colleagues to be accommodated on site, thus sharing the atmosphere also for the not-to-be-missed evening programme.

We encourage you to explore the outstanding programme and wholeheartedly invite you and your colleagues to attend the DNM in June!

On behalf of the Organising Committee,

Aniko Korosi
